Ironhearth is the Pact's population center — as close to a civilian world as Crimson space allows. The ration works run three shifts a day, producing the block rations that feed soldiers across the empire. The formula was developed by Fleet nutritionists who prioritized caloric density, shelf life, and survivability in combat conditions. Palatability was not a design criterion. Every pilot from the Frontier to Sol knows what an iron ration tastes like. Nobody asks for seconds. Nobody goes hungry either.
