Maintenance

Consumed continuously to keep the facility running. Starve it and it degrades.

SuppliedAll three reactor cores hum in their improvised cradle, antimatter injectors feeding steady power. The Patchwork has light, heat, and enough energy to move if needed.
StarvedWhen it has fuel. Reactor core two is sputtering, containment shielding running hot. The engineering crew patches what they can, but without fresh fuel cells, the station's going cold.

Upgrade Chain

Salvage Reactor has no upgrade path — it is built once, at this level.

Lore

Deep in the engineering decks where two destroyer hulls meet, three reactor cores sit in a cradle of improvised shielding. The antimatter injectors — salvaged from the third ship's weapons magazine — give it enough punch to move the entire Patchwork through hyperspace, slowly. Sol's containment cells keep the injectors fed. Without them, the station's just a very large, very cold tomb.
