Cast Alumina Ceramite

Sinter an alumina ceramic matrix instead of a silicate one, bonded to a heavier titanium frame. Rolled aluminum sheet and the extra alloy binder make it markedly pricier than the silicate kiln and the firing cycle is long — a route reserved for when silicon simply cannot be had at any sensible price.
