Named for the classical element once believed to fill the heavens, the Aether-class mounts two gas harvesting arrays where most ships carry one. The proprietary atmospheric intake system — fourteen months in development — yields more gas per collection pass than any competing design. The onboard spectrometer identifies compositions to nine decimal places, six more than required. Every utility slot is spoken for by the time the Aether leaves the shipyard, leaving pilots a single defense mount for personal preference. The design team submitted the loadout as a solved problem.
