Lore
The Annihilator enters a system and everything in that system renegotiates its priorities. Months of accumulated resources go into building a single hull — neutronium armor, durasteel structural members, and a power grid that can sustain all nine weapon mounts in continuous fire. The heaviest armor the Fleet has ever mounted on a mobile platform makes the Annihilator nearly impervious to anything short of concentrated capital fire. It doesn't have tactical flexibility. It doesn't need it. Crimson Fleet doctrine considers the Annihilator a strategic weapon: you don't deploy it to win battles, you deploy it to win wars.
