The plan is to be where the shooting is and not be the first thing that dies. That is the entire design brief, and the Bad Idea meets it the way the Rim meets everything: with too much plate, not enough finesse, and a name that admits the problem up front. The frame is overbuilt to the point of stubbornness, slabs of salvaged armor stacked thick enough to shrug off hits that would gut a proper warship, and just enough guns bolted to the front to make charging in something more than a suicide gesture. It is slow, it is ugly, and it drinks fuel like the day owes it something. None of that matters once it's parked between your fleet and the enemy, soaking everything that comes its way while lighter ships do the clever work. It is, by name and by nature, a bad idea. It keeps working anyway.
