The Confederacy's fuel transport regulations fill eleven volumes. The Capacity complies with all of them. Four independent containment systems maintain volatile liquids at precisely regulated temperatures, and the monitoring software generates status reports on a schedule the Safety Commission describes as "adequate" and the engineering team describes as "excessive, but they asked." The default shield booster protects cargo that the Confederacy classifies as both commercially valuable and extremely flammable — a combination the insurance underwriters handle by charging premiums that make the shield a sound investment. The remaining fitting budget and CPU headroom leave room for whatever the route demands.
