Claim Jumper

Named for a time-honored Rim tradition, the Claim Jumper is built for speed-mining: arrive first, extract fast, leave before questions get asked. The afterburner comes factory-installed because Rim engineers consider Speed 5 a starting point, not a ceiling. The oversized fuel tank exists to feed that speed — at Speed 6, the engine drinks fuel faster than any other miner in production, and the tank keeps it running long enough to matter. Removing the afterburner buys more range but most Claim Jumper pilots would rather run out of fuel than get caught mining slow. No weapons, no shields worth mentioning, no armor. Just an engine bolted to a mining laser with a small hold underneath.
