Confluence pilots learn quickly that the ship has opinions about where to go next. The navigation system presents suggested waypoints that correspond to no known database — yet invariably lead to something interesting. Whether the ship is detecting subtle gravitational signatures or simply knows things it shouldn't, the survey logs speak for themselves. The shield array regenerates fast enough that the Confluence survives locations other explorers avoid — debris fields, unstable anomalies, the deep-space regions where sensor readings stop making sense. The fuel tank was sized as a practical concession: Confluences tend to wander, and the Collective prefers they wander back.
