Lore
The Crowbar-class exists because the Crimson Fleet produces more wrecks than it can process. Two autocannons and reinforced armor plating on a salvage tug raised eyebrows at other shipyards, but the Fleet builds for wreck fields, not transit lanes — and wreck fields attract competition. The tradeoff is straightforward: the combat loadout leaves almost no room for salvage equipment. The towing rig was an afterthought, the cargo bay is the smallest in its class, and the armor plating slows the ship to a crawl. If the wreck field is contested, the Crowbar's job is to make it uncontested. The actual recovery can wait.
