The Eigenstate-class carries sensor arrays tuned to frequencies that standard instruments filter out as interference. Survey scanner resolution at this scale generates data volumes that would overwhelm a lesser processing core — the Eigenstate's CPU capacity exists to prevent exactly that. Voidborn scouts have been known to navigate around hazards that didn't appear on anyone else's charts until days later. The ship carries no weapons but regenerates shield layers fast enough that most aggressors lose interest before they breach hull. The limited fuel tank keeps the Eigenstate close to Collective space, which is where the phenomena it was built to study tend to cluster.
