Rim ice operators buy Frostbitten-class ships in batches and consider a tour successful if the hull makes it back to station. The extraction system is an oversized saw blade and a collection hopper — crude, loud, and unreasonably effective at filling a hold that has no business being this large. What the Frostbitten lacks in yield it makes up in speed: at the fastest clip in its class, a competent pilot can run three loads while a Glacius is still on its first. No shields, no armor, no upgrade slots. Rim pilots consider this weight savings. The environmental controls fail regularly enough that experienced crews pack extra gloves before extra food.
