Influx

The Influx-class extracts gases from dimensional rifts that other empires' sensors cannot detect. The collection membranes extend into adjacent dimensional layers, capturing exotic compounds that exist only at the boundary between realities. The condensation process forces these inter-dimensional gases into normal-space stable states, producing materials with properties that conventional chemistry cannot explain. Seven utility slots support the phase-detection and stabilization equipment needed to operate safely — "safely" being a relative term when harvesting matter from between dimensions.
