Magnate
Faction flagship for the boss who outgrew borders — forged from the best of all five empires: Crimson fury-plate, Voidborn null-matter shields, Solarian logic cores, Nebula optics, Rim dark matter. Heavily armored, properly armed, and rigged so the leader who runs the whole operation can fly it into the fight himself. One per faction, keyed to the leader's hand.

Lore
The empires have sovereigns. These people pay them taxes — most years, on the profit they choose to declare — and then go on running the economy the sovereigns merely tax. A Magnate is what that kind of money builds when it stops pretending to respect a border. There is no empire stamp on the hull because there is no one empire in it: the plating is Crimson fury-temper, the shields hang off Voidborn null-matter matrices, the brain is Solarian logic stacked behind Nebula optics, and the whole thing is laced with Rim dark matter, because the owner could afford to buy the best of each and the freight to carry it home. It takes a faction with a holding in every empire's space to even source one — which is precisely the point, and precisely who flies it. It is built to go to war: against rival magnates, against the pirates who mistake it for cargo, against the empires themselves when the math finally favors it. The yards build exactly one per faction and key it to the boss's own hand. You do not lead from a station chair forever. Eventually you buy the front of the line.
