Omnibus

Omnibus: Latin, "for all." The Office of Civic Mobility spent four years determining the optimal seating arrangement, and the result is fourteen berths whose comfort rating is "adequate" according to the standards body the Confederacy established to rate seating. The Omnibus runs its routes whether or not anyone is aboard, because the schedule is the point. No one has ever described it as luxurious, including the design committee, whose final report described it as "sufficient, which was the objective." Junior researchers, retired couples, visiting lecturers, and everyone's luggage arrive together, on time, having shared an experience none of them will mention again.
