"Never put all your credits in one venture." The Portfolio embodies the Federation's risk-management philosophy — a hull that can haul, fight, or run as market conditions demand. The default loadout covers all three: a weapon for pirates, a shield for survival, and a cargo expander for margins. Two weapon mounts and decent speed make it the only Nebula freighter that doesn't need an escort on contested routes. The Federation's marketing department calls it "diversified capability." Independent pilots call it the ship that does everything well enough and nothing perfectly.
