The Principia carries more processing power than most ships twice its size — the Confederacy's standard loadout for orbital survey work requires it. No weapons by design; the sensor array and three utility hardpoints consume the engineering budget. Defensive modules can be fitted for work near contested borders, though the requisition forms require three levels of approval. Named after Newton's treatise, because the Confederacy names everything after treatises.
